Frequently Asked Questions
-
Interior design focuses on how a room looks; pedagogical design focuses on how a child thrives within it. While a designer might choose a rug for its color, I choose it for its texture and its ability to support your child’s current mobility milestone. My approach combines 18 years of professional experience as an RECE with a minimalist aesthetic to eliminate 'visual noise,' creating a sanctuary that is as sophisticated as it is developmental.

This is a core pillar of the Reggio Emilia philosophy. It suggests that a child’s physical surroundings have the power to educate, inspire, and provoke discovery. My work focuses on transforming your home from a place of "visual noise" into an intentional landscape that supports your child’s autonomy and development.
-
Not necessarily. Part of our "Nesting Audit" is a sensory edit of what you already own. We often find that by simply relocating a shelf, changing the lighting, or removing "visual noise," we can transform the room without a single new purchase.

The Nesting Audit ($350–$450): This is a collaborative, high-energy session (Virtual or In-Person) where we edit your space in real-time. You receive a follow-up "Nesting Edit" PDF summary.
The Environment Blueprint ($450): This is a technical design service. I take your room’s dimensions and create a high-fidelity "12-Month Movement Map"—a literal roadmap of where every piece of furniture and material should live to support your child’s growth from first gaze to first steps.
-
I offer Virtual Nesting Audits ($350) for families globally. These sessions are conducted via high-definition video and are just as impactful as in-person visits. I will guide you through your space digitally to identify barriers to play and opportunities for beauty.
-
For the Audit and Blueprint tiers, the implementation is handled by the parents. You will receive a curated shopping list and a "Movement Map" that acts as your instruction manual. For families seeking a completely hands-off experience, I offer a Signature Atelier upgrade which includes full procurement and on-site installation.
-
The In-Person Audit ($450) accounts for the "On-Site Sanctuary Visit." This allows me to physically assess the light, floor textures, and flow of your home in person, and we can physically "edit" and rearrange your space together during the 90-minute session.
-
Yes. For families who want their environment to evolve alongside their child, I offer "The Continuous Spark"—a seasonal subscription (starting at $110) where I provide fresh "Provocation Maps" and curated materials to keep the environment challenging and beautiful.
-
Please, do not tidy up. To provide an authentic audit, I need to see the "raw" landscape of your home. Seeing where the "clutter" naturally accumulates tells me exactly where the environment is failing the child’s need for order.
-
Simply fill out the Sanctuary Inquiry Form on my website. Once I review your space's "Aesthetic DNA" and your child’s developmental stage, I will send you a tailored invitation to book your session.
